Retrograde, the third effort from Texas metalcore crew Crown the Empire, continues the band's evolution, combining addictive melody with brutal hardcore muscle like contemporaries Ice Nine Kills, Hands Like Houses, and I See Stars. Their first since 2014's concept work The Resistance, Retrograde debuted at the top of the Billboard Hard Rock, Independent, and Rock charts, as well as the number 15 spot on the Billboard 200. Released on Rise Records, Retrograde features the lead singles "Weight of the World" and "Zero."
